Summary of Work

This work explores my personal and choreographic relationship to the influences and legacy of Michael Jackson (MJ) through a contemporary-fusion lens influenced by his signature style. The choreography is supported by the performed relationship between the artist and myself guided by the entertainer’s discography, iconic costume looks, staging, and set design. The work’s intent is to leave patrons with the sense of nostalgia and charisma that the artist posthumously carries, whilst telling my story and leaving audience members feeling like they experienced a live show in and of itself.
