The rehearsal process was 4 hours a week with the fourth hour being a flexible, typically being used for when dancers had to miss or more choreography needed to be added. I used this time to build a community with the dancers but still pushed them through execution of intricate, fast, and athletic movement. Typically, I create movement on the spot, and while some phrases were created the previous semester, much of the choreography and staging was spontaneous which allowed for influence from the dancers and the music within the moment.
